Description
A tube-based launcher with armor piercing grenades. It makes for an excellent choice if you wanna bring some flavor to the fight.

The Thumper is a rare ranged weapon. It is a break-action grenade launcher with a silver barrel and wood furniture with gold or brass accents.

When reloading, the barrel pivots downward and a new grenade is inserted by a small robot arm.

It fires a single high-velocity explosive projectile with great range and accuracy and a medium-sized blast radius. It explodes on contact with a wall or enemy or if it reaches its maximum range.

Notes

• As an explosive weapon, it is best used against multiple enemies who are standing close to one another. Try to aim so that the grenade explodes in the center of the group to catch as many enemies as possible in the blast radius.
• The player cannot harm themselves with their own grenades, but if caught in the blast radius they will be thrown backwards and knocked down. Consider switching to another weapon at very close range to avoid this.
• Because it only holds one shot by default, it will always rechamber before reloading, giving it an effective reload time of 2.5s.

Trivia

• The name "Thumper" is a nickname sometimes used for the real-life M79 Grenade Launcher, which is a very similar break-action grenade launcher.
