The Homerun is an uncommon melee weapon. It is a wooden baseball bat paired with a catcher's mitt.
The first swing is a simple overhead strike.
On the second swing the weapon is jabbed forwards, stunning any enemies it hits.
On the third swing, the player winds up and delivers a strong "home-run" strike. Anything hit by this swing will be tumbled and launched away at high speed unless it is completely immune to knockback.
Notes
- The Homerun is a straightforward and reliable melee weapon. Its third swing gives it the potential to effectively deal with enemies that are normally difficult to knock down.
- Consider intentionally whiffing the first two swings to save the "home-run" swing as an opener.
- The velocity with which the third swing launches enemies is sufficient to cause impact damage if hitting walls or other enemies. Aim accordingly.
- Despite using a catcher's mitt, blocking simply reflects projectiles like all other melee weapons instead of catching them.
Trivia
- The weapon's description references the dimensions that baseball bats are required to have according to official baseball regulations.
