The Buccaneer is a rare ranged weapon in the form of a golden muzzle-loading flintlock pistol with red grips. When reloading, small clockwork arms fold out of the weapon to automatically insert a musket ball and ram it down the barrel.
Its fires a tight cluster of 8 explosive pellets with very high velocity and damage, but holds only one shot at once and has an extremely long effective reload time of 4 seconds.
Notes
- While its reload time is 2 seconds, it must complete its rechamber animation (cocking the hammer) before being able to reload, adding another 2 seconds- effectively meaning the weapon needs to be reloaded twice every shot.
- The rechamber/reload process also affects how powerups interact with the weapon: the rechamber timer is unaffected by reload speed powerups like Helping Hand.
